These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Detailing Alchemist mobile application ("App") and the website at detailingalchemist.com ("Website"), operated by Detailing Alchemist ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the App

Detailing Alchemist is a chemistry calculator and product reference tool designed for car detailing professionals and enthusiasts. The App is available on iPhone and requires iOS 17 or later.

You may use the App for personal and professional car detailing purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its content
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any subscription or access restrictions

2. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription ($9.99/year) that unlocks the full feature set.

• Subscriptions are billed annually through Apple's App Store
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods; refund requests must be directed to Apple

3. Product Database and Calculations

The App includes a database of 415+ detailing products with pH values, dilution ratios, dwell times, and other data. While we strive for accuracy:

• Product data is provided for reference purposes and may not reflect the most current manufacturer specifications
• Always verify critical information (especially Safety Data Sheets) directly with the product manufacturer
• Calculations are mathematical tools — results should be validated against manufacturer guidelines
• We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from reliance on calculations or product data provided by the App

4. Safety Disclaimer

Car detailing involves the use of chemicals that can be hazardous if misused. By using the App, you acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for the safe handling, mixing, and application of chemicals
• The App does not replace proper training, manufacturer instructions, or professional judgment
• You should always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as recommended by product manufacturers
• We are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from the use of chemicals, even when following recommendations from the App

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, calculations, and software, is the property of Detailing Alchemist and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Product names, brand names, and trademarks referenced in the database belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with Detailing Alchemist.

6. Custom Products and User Content

The App allows you to create custom product entries. You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you enter. Custom product data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

7. Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

The App provides links to Safety Data Sheets from third-party sources. We do not host or control SDS content. SDS documents are provided by manufacturers and may be updated or removed without notice. Always confirm you are referencing the most current SDS from the manufacturer.

8. Availability and Updates

• We may update the App periodically to add features, fix bugs, or update product data
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
• Pro subscription includes updates for the duration of the subscription period

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Detailing Alchemist and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Damage to vehicles, surfaces, or property
• Personal injury from chemical handling
• Loss of data or custom product entries
• Inaccurate calculations or product information

10. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with third-party services (Apple App Store, SDS hosting providers). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which Detailing Alchemist operates.
