Detailing Alchemist ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Detailing Alchemist mobile application ("App") and website ("Website") collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Detailing Alchemist is designed with a privacy-first approach. The App works entirely offline (except for SDS downloads) and does not require an account. We collect as little data as possible.
All of the following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:
The App requests camera access solely for the Barcode Scanner feature. Camera data is processed on-device in real time and is never stored, recorded, or transmitted. You can deny camera access and continue to use all other features of the App.
When you download a Safety Data Sheet, the App connects to a third-party URL (provided by the product manufacturer) to fetch the PDF file. This network request is subject to the hosting provider's own privacy practices. We do not act as an intermediary or log these requests.
Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
The Website includes optional Feature Request and Bug Report forms. If you choose to submit a form, the following data may be collected:
Form submissions are processed by Netlify (our hosting provider). Data submitted through forms is stored on Netlify's servers and is accessible only to us. We use this data solely to review feature requests and bug reports. Netlify's privacy policy applies to the processing of form data.
The Website is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, access times) as part of its hosting infrastructure.
The Website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our pages. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general geographic region. This data is processed by Google and helps us improve the Website. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since the App collects no personal data, there is no mechanism through which children's data could be collected.
